PhD positions at the University of Bern


2 PhD positions are available in the Institute of Psychology at the University of Bern (Switzerland) in the field of visual perception. Post-holders will perform behavioral experiments using psychophysics, eye tracking and appearance-based methods, as well as computational modeling in areas such as peripheral vision, perception of shape, crowding, and reading. The positions will be hosted in a new laboratory headed by Prof. Dr. Bilge Sayim.

A Master's degree (or equivalent) in psychology, cognitive science, or a related field is necessary. Prior experience in experimental psychology, visual psychophysics and/or modeling is desirable. Ideal candidates will have strong computational skills and/or experience in clinical research. Programming proficiency (e.g. in Matlab or Python) is an advantage.
