Postdoc position in computational physics in SUSTC Shenzhen,China

Two postdoctoral research associate positions are immediately available in the group of Dr. Li Huang at Department of Physics, South University of Science and Technology of China, Shenzhen. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on one or two subjects of the following topics: 1. first-principles studies on energy related materials such as thermoelectric materials and electrode materials in solid state batteries. 2. First-principles studies on new topological materials. 3. Atomistic simulations of properties of surfaces and interfaces. 4. structural and dynamic properties of metallic liquids and glasses,There is also flexibility to pursue other promising research directions of mutual interest. All projects involve close collaboration with experimental groups.The required qualifications include a PhD degree in physics or closed related area, strong background in the practice of first-principles calculations, some scientific programming skills, as well as good oral and written communication skills.
