Postdoc position in computational physics in SUSTC Shenzhen,China



Two postdoctoral research associate positions are immediately available in the group of Dr. Li Huang at Department of Physics, South University of Science and Technology of China, Shenzhen. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on one or two subjects of the following topics: 1. first-principles studies on energy related materials such as thermoelectric materials and electrode materials in solid state batteries. 2. First-principles studies on new topological materials. 3. Atomistic simulations of properties of surfaces and interfaces. 4. structural and dynamic properties of metallic liquids and glasses,There is also flexibility to pursue other promising research directions of mutual interest. All projects involve close collaboration with experimental groups.The required qualifications include a PhD degree in physics or closed related area, strong background in the practice of first-principles calculations, some scientific programming skills, as well as good oral and written communication skills. Post-doctoral position in Computational Neuroscience

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Computational Neuroscience at the Center for Sensorimotor Research at the Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU) Munich (Germany) in association with the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience (BCCN).

Project: US-German Collaborative Research Proposal "Information Processing in Cerebral Cortex for Visual-Oculuomotor Behavior"

The project will be performed in close collaboration with the Washington National Primate Research Center (University of Washington, Seattle, US). The successful candidate's task is to perform data analysis and computational modeling of neuronal data acquired in Seattle. A strong background in mathematics and neuroscience as well as a strong interest in Computational Neuroscience is required.

The position is limited to three years.
